Basketball Recap: Marion County Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Marion County won the last time they faced Phillips, and Tye Madison did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Marion County Red Raiders' way against the Phillips Bears on Monday as the Marion County Red Raiders made off with a 71-46 win thanks in part to Madison, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Philip Wilson, who posted five points in addition to ten assists and six boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted four or more steals the last three times he's played.

Marion County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Phillips, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8.
