The Gregory Gorillas can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They beat Avon by the very same score they won with last week: 72-49. Winning may never get old, but Gregory sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gregory to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cruz Klundt, who scored 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Klundt has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Noah Bearshield, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Gregory's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Avon, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Gregory won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jones County at 7:45 p.m. on January 26th. Averaging 62.2 points so far this season, Gregory's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Jones County better be ready for a challenge. As for Avon, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Freeman at 6:15 p.m. on January 26th. Freeman is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.
