University Liggett has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Bendle Tigers at 16:00 p.m. on Friday. University Liggett knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Bendle likes a good challenge.
Last Saturday, University Liggett got the win against Cardinal Mooney Catholic by a conclusive 47-21. The result was nothing new for University Liggett, who have now won six matches by 25 points or more so far this season.
Gary Stacy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 264 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per carry. Stacy was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Meanwhile, Bendle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-6 loss at the hands of Michigan Lutheran Seminary. Bendle was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.
University Liggett's win bumped their season record to 6-2 while Bendle's defeat dropped theirs to 4-5.
