If the Sierra Grande Panthers were feeling good  off their  45-13 takedown of Lake City on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sierra Grande fell  33-25 to Cheraw on Saturday. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sierra Grande in their matchups with Cheraw: they've now lost eight in a row.
 When it comes to explaining why Sierra Grande lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Alexandra Garcia. Despite the final result, she  scored six points along with five  rebounds and four  steals.
 Sierra Grande bumped their record down to 2-7 with that  defeat, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Cheraw, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Sierra Grande will be playing at home against Trinidad at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Cheraw, they will head out on the road to  take on  Cheyenne Wells at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Colorado (Cheyenne Wells is ranked 185th, while Cheraw is ranked 173rd).
