It was a good run, but the IDEA Bluff Springs Bats unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Valor South Austin by a score of 45-42.
Despite the loss, IDEA Bluff Springs still got an impressive performance from Samantha Saucedo-Palencia, who scored 25 points. That was a full 59.5% of IDEA Bluff Springs' points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Saenz, who scored 12 points.
IDEA Bluff Springs' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Valor South Austin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 19-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. IDEA Bluff Springs will play host again and welcome Harmony School Of Excellence-Austin, where tip off is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Harmony School Of Excellence-Austin comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Valor South Austin, they will be playing at home against IDEA Bluff Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
