Sanger moved up to 217 from 298 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in County/Metro. The Apaches climbed the ranks as a result of beating Madera 37-30.
Sanger extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Coyotes, 37-30. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
San Joaquin Memorial's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nick Kinder has thrown for 819 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Paul Smith has 17 catches for 243 yards. Jesus Lozano leads the league in rushing with 379 yards.
There should be lots of points scored when San Joaquin Memorial and Madera South face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Panthers comes in having scored 101 this season, while the Stallions have scored 40. San Joaquin Memorial scored 10 points last week as it lost to Bullard.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Apaches take on the Knights. Sanger has allowed 152 points this season, while Bullard has given up 121.
Don Arax's team was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in County/Metro. The Knights beat Anthony Goston's team 42-10 earlier in the week.
