The West Jordan Jaguars will head out on the road to challenge the Farmington Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It was a proper cat-fight when West Jordan challenged Kearns on Tuesday. The Jaguars never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Rita Tavita made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played.
In other batting news, Lafiana Fifita was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Hailey Fox also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
West Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kearns only posted an OBP of .350.
Meanwhile, Farmington made easy work of Roy on Friday and carried off a 13-0 win. The Phoenix have beaten the Royals the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Royals has come to flipping the script.
Lill Topham tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Farmington got a massive performance out of Kiley Gazafy, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Andrus, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
West Jordan's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Farmington, their record now sits at 11-8.
Farmington's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Jordan has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for Farmington, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given West Jordan's sizable advantage in that area, the Phoenix will need to find a way to close that gap.
