Calumet New Tech has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Munster Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Calumet New Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Calumet New Tech came up short against the Vikings and fell 59-46. Calumet New Tech has not had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Calumet New Tech's loss came about despite a quality game from Eric Allen, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and three steals. Allen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Javon Lawrence was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Munster didn't have too much trouble with the Panthers at home on Thursday as they won 59-43.
Calumet New Tech's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Munster, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Calumet New Tech lost to the Mustangs on the road by a decisive 78-61 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Calumet New Tech, Brandon Trilli (who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
