The Redan Raiders won the last time they faced the Elite Scholars Academy Royal Knights, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Redan came out on top against Elite Scholars Academy by a score of 42-34.
Redan found their leader in underclassman Londyn Felder, who scored 20 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Felder has scored at least a third of Redan's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylah Welton, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Redan's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11. As for Elite Scholars Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redan will face off against Columbia at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Columbia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Redan in Georgia (Columbia is ranked 168th, while Redan is ranked 497th). As for Elite Scholars Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Riverdale at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
