The Aldine Mustangs will head out to face off against the MacArthur Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
Aldine's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Nimitz. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Gabriel Nunez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over 5.2 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Aldine let Jansyel Barbosa and Alexander Martinez run wild. Barbosa got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI, while Martinez went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Martinez a new career-high. Isaiah Nunez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Aldine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are undefeated (7-0) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, MacArthur's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Eisenhower as they made off with a 14-0 win.
Artemio Mata made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Aldine's record now sits at 11-5-3. As for MacArthur, their record is now 10-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Aldine has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like MacArthur struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Aldine skirted past MacArthur 5-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
