The Bradford Tornadoes will be playing at home against The Villages Charter Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Villages Charter took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bradford, who comes in off a win.
Bradford waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They slipped by Dunnellon 42-41.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bradford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ar'Nayshia Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Griffin is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Hankerson, who scored 14 points along with six steals.
The Villages Charter suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They were dealt a 62-27 loss at the hands of Trinity Catholic. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points The Villages Charter has scored all season.
Bradford's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for The Villages Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Bradford ended up a good deal behind The Villages Charter in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, losing 58-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of The Villages Charter's Zion Mcrae, who scored 29 points along with six assists and six steals.
