Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact the Liberty Christian Lions proved on Friday. They came out on top against Anderson Prep Academy by a score of 44-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Liberty Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Liberty Christian was led to victory by Kendrick Martin and Tamarje English. Martin scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while English scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jerramie Johnson, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Several Jets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Camron Anderson, who scored seven points.
Liberty Christian's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points per game. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Liberty Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pendleton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Pendleton Heights presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Liberty Christian in Indiana (Pendleton Heights is ranked 63rd, while Liberty Christian is ranked 228th). As for Anderson Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Josiah Cox and Lincoln Fathauer.
