FRANKFORT, Ky. - The defense did their part on the scoring end for for
Frankfort (Ky.) on Saturday, totaling 13 points as the Panthers bested Paris (Ky.) 59-0.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Jalen Washington in the first quarter, the Panthers were up 31-0 at the half.
Frankfort grew its lead to 52 points entering the fourth quarter. FHS scored four times in the third, including once on a touchdown.
The loss snapped Paris' six-game winning streak.
Frankfort's standout player in the win was Spade. He kicked one field goal and six extra points.
Coming into the game Frankfort had allowed 18.3 points per game this year.
FHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 38-0.
The loss comes after Paris defeated Bethlehem 35-33 last week. With the win the Panthers extended their winning streak to four games.
Frankfort (5-2) goes up against Bracken County in a 1A District 3 game matchup next week, while Paris (7-2) locks horns with Bracken County also in a 1A District 3 game.
