The Tescott Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 63-38 to St. John's/Tipton Catholic, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Tescott was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.
St. John's/Tipton Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Winkler led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Larocque, who scored 15 points.
Tescott dropped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Tescott will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Xavier on Friday. As for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Thunder Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thunder Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while St. John's/Tipton Catholic is ranked 148th).
