The Red Level Tigers won the last time they faced the Shields Panthers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Red Level was the clear victor by a 71-46 margin over the Panthers.
Javen Poindexter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Red Level's points.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cantangelo Hicks, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Hicks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Adrian Watts, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Red Level has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Shields, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing McKenzie the next time they take the court. Shields will head out to face McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Red Level will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
