Basketball Recap: Bluffton Extends Winning Streak to Six

Bluffton came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Islands Sharks 68-42. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 26 points or more this season.

Leading Bluffton to victory were Harrison Skinner and Brandon White. Skinner went 9 for 13 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven assists and five boards, while White went 7 of 11 on his way to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carnell Warren, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Bluffton's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Islands, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Bluffton and Hilton Head Prep will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Bluffton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Hilton Head Prep likes a good challenge. As for Islands, they and May River will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
