There's no place like home for the Lytle Pirates, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Natalia 61-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lytle also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lytle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Seth Pierce, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Pierce has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Chase Guevara, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Lytle is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. As for Natalia, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-10.
Lytle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 77-45 victory vs. Cotulla on the 12th. Natalia will head out on the road to face off against Crystal City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crystal City has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 773 points over their last nine matchups.
