Rosewood will face off against Wayne Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Rosewood knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Wayne Christian likes a good challenge.
Rosewood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Union get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won six in a row.

04/03/25 @ Hobbton | 15 |
03/31/25 vs James Kenan | 7 |
Nobody will forget McCandless St John's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Union's batters): she turned in a perfect game. St John has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
Rosewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .727. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Wayne Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Faith Christian on Thursday and fell 2-1.
Riley Sutton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Railee Winter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Rosewood pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for Wayne Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rosewood has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wayne Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Rosewood took their victory against Wayne Christian in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 12-1 score. Will Rosewood repeat their success, or does Wayne Christian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
