Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Northside Christian Mustangs walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 59-8 win over the Chargers at home. Northside Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 27 points or more this season.
Leading Northside Christian to victory were Rilee Knight and Sydney White. Knight scored 16 points, while White scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Somers, who scored nine points.
Northside Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Shorecrest Prep, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Northside Christian will head out on the road to challenge the Marauders at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Clearwater Central Catholic will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Shorecrest Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
