Softball Recap: Clinton Has No Trouble Against Laurens

Clinton hadn't done well against Laurens recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Red Devils blew past the Raiders 22-6. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 12 runs or more this season.

Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Laurens, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Clinton will be playing in front of their home fans against Newberry at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laurens, they will venture away from home to square off against Fountain Inn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Fury will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
