On Saturday, Kolbe-Cathedral didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Mustangs, but they still walked away with a 54-49 win. 54 seems to be a good number for Kolbe-Cathedral as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Pomperaug earned a 46-38 win over the Mustangs on Thursday.
Kolbe-Cathedral is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Pomperaug, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Kolbe-Cathedral and the Panthers were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but the Cougars came up empty-handed after a 55-54 loss. Can Kolbe-Cathedral avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
