Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Concordia Christian Academy). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 72-70 victory over the Sound Christian Lions on Thursday. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 67-50 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Sound Christian lost, don't look at Makai Resseau. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most points Resseau has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Mika Lester, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

Concordia Christian Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sound Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Concordia Christian Academy will take on Muckleshoot Tribal in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Sound Christian, they will head out to challenge Chief Kitsap Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
