Omaha South has been on the road for four straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Lincoln High Links at 2:45 p.m. Lincoln High took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Omaha South, who comes in off a win.
Omaha South scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Buena Vista, posting a 72-38 victory on the road. With that victory, Omaha South brought their scoring average up to 53.2 points per game.
Omaha South can attribute much of their success to Keegan Kimble, who scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds, and Lou Hodoly, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Kimble scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ramon Ware, who scored nine points along with seven assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Lincoln High's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 65-50 fall against Lincoln East.
Omaha South's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Lincoln High, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-8 record last season and are now at 1-4.
Omaha South strolled past Lincoln High in their previous meeting back in February of 2017 by a score of 80-65. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Lincoln High's Morgan Perry iii, who scored 25 points along with five steals.
