The Silver Valley Trojans had already won 16 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.2 points), and they went ahead and made it 17 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 82-17 victory over PAL Academy at home. Silver Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Silver Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylen Walker, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Damien Grundy, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Silver Valley's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.8 points per game. As for PAL Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Riverside Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. Hopefully Riverside Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 42 on Tuesday. As for PAL Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Excelsior Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Excelsior Charter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 271 points over their last four matchups.
