The Jimtown Jimmies will face off against the Knox Redskins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Jimtown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Winamac with a sharp 7-1 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Jimmies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kendal McPhee was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Jimtown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Knox got themselves on the board against Bremen on Tuesday, but Bremen never followed suit. They blew past the Lions 10-0. The Redskins not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8th (when they won 15-3).
The team relied heavily on Cheryl Barnes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Joie Montague was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
Jimtown's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Knox, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-15.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jimtown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Knox struggles in that department as they've averaged .312. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Jimtown couldn't quite get it done against Knox in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 6-3. Can the Jimmies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
