The Switzerland County Pacers will head out on the road to face off against the Rising Sun Shiners at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Switzerland County has three straight victories, Rising Sun has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Austin scored an imposing 71 points on Saturday, Switzerland County still came out on top. Switzerland County took their match against Austin 78-71.
Cam Craig continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-10 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 40 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadyn Riley, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Rising Sun suffered a rough 63-41 loss at the hands of Lawrenceburg on Saturday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rising Sun in their matchups with Lawrenceburg: they've now lost eight in a row.
Switzerland County's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Rising Sun, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Switzerland County strolled past Rising Sun in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 65-50. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Rising Sun's Brody Morris, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Switzerland County still be able to contain Morris? There's only one way to find out.
