Archbishop Wood is 8-2 against West Catholic since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Archbishop Wood Vikings will head out to take on the West Catholic Burrs at 7:00 p.m. Archbishop Wood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully West Catholic likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Archbishop Wood came up short against St. Joseph's Prep and fell 76-65. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Hawks are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, West Catholic suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt a 72-36 defeat at the hands of Imhotep Charter. The contest marked the Burrs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Archbishop Wood now has a losing record at 9-10. As for West Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Archbishop Wood took their win against West Catholic when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 72-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Archbishop Wood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
