The Milford Eagles will face off against the Lebanon Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Milford had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt West Clermont on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wolves an 11-0 shutout.

Not much got past Meghan McClellan, who gave up just four hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep West Clermont off the board. McClellan has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jesslyn Roberts, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lanie McCoy, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one double.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Milford lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lebanon got the win against New Richmond on Friday by a conclusive 13-0.
Ella Tuebner was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Chaney Justice was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Milford is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Lebanon, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Milford has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lebanon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Milford couldn't quite get it done against Lebanon when the teams last played back in April as they fell 5-2. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
