The Grasso Tech Eagles lost against the Windham RVT Mighty Tigers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Grasso Tech fell to Windham RVT 54-48.
Loss or not, Grasso Tech got some senior leadership from Nick Stavesky who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and Charis Johnson who scored nine points along with nine rebounds. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Chacha- Mizhquiri, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Windham RVT's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colby Dunnack led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Dunnack is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fischer Jones, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Grasso Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Windham RVT, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grasso Tech will challenge Goodwin Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windham RVT, they will head out on the road to take on Windham at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Windham has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 590 points over their last nine matchups.
