Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madison). They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Edgewood Warriors on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Streaks sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Landon Tomco looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits.
At the plate, Madison let Ben Amos and Eddy Gvora run wild. Amos got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI, while Gvora went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Gvora has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of NathaN YarNell, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Madison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.
Madison pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Edgewood, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.
