Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atherton). They put the hurt on the Flint Southwestern Academy Knights with a sharp 27-9 victory on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Wolverines with their most commanding win of the season.

Atherton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Flint Southwestern Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atherton will face off against Bendle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season.
