This season hasn't been kind to The Stewart County Rebels, who are still winless after their tenth match. They were outmatched by Sycamore at home and fell 51-17. Stewart County lost against Sycamore in their previous head to head back in September of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 49-7 score last time.
Hicks Hunter was a one-man wrecking crew for Sycamore as he rushed for 226 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Hunter is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Silvio Rizzo, who rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Stewart County's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Gibson County and 1-9 Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 30% over those games). As for Sycamore, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season.
Stewart County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sycamore also has no future games currently scheduled.
