The Harlan Falcons suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 47-25 loss at the hands of Tilden. Harlan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.
Among those leading the charge was Rachel Ruiz, who scored 15 points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that she grabbed two or more steals. Antonella Villegas-Sarmiento was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Harlan's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Tilden, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harlan will take on Catalyst-Maria at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tilden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Corliss at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Corliss comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
