After a string of four wins, the Lincoln County Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 76-45 loss at the hands of Bonners Ferry. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lincoln County in their matchups with the Badgers: they've now lost five in a row.
Lincoln County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braden Casazza, who scored seven points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Casazza grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Vaughn, who scored 12 points.
Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Bonners Ferry, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
Lincoln County will be playing at home against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Troy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Lions are ranked 40th). As for Bonners Ferry, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeland will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
