Big Game from Stubbs As Bell Won 37-13
Starting off the list is Bell's Erick Stubbs, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stubbs rushed for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 92-yard run.
For the year, Stubbs has run in 22 touchdowns while averaging 222.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 104.13 rushing yards per game.

Ceasar Reyes Turns in Another Game with at Least 103 Rushing Yards
Ceasar Reyes continued his hot streak on Thursday by dropping his eighth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 103 rushing yards. He rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended a pass.
The win was the fourth in a row for Garfield, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Reyes and Garfield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Edward Rivera Dazzles in South East Victory
Edward Rivera's rushing tear continued on Thursday as he dropped his seventh-straight game with 119+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 168 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing two fumbles and making ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Roosevelt's probably not too fond of Rivera given he always seems to get the better of them. When Rivera last faced the Rough Riders back in September of 2023, he rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.

Bryce Johnson Turns in Season-Best Effort
South East was led to victory by Bryce Johnson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Johnson rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 56 yards and two touchdowns.
For the year, Johnson has thrown 4 touchdowns while averaging 41.3 passing yards per game.

Dominic Vasquez Makes It Two for Garfield
The second Garfield player making an appearance here is Dominic Vasquez, and for good reason. He picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 55 yards.
On the year, Vasquez has averaged 24.7 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 26.17 receiving yards per game. This year he is averaging 42.33 receiving yards.
