The Sussex Tech Ravens lost against the Cape Henlopen Vikings two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Sussex Tech's rough 57-32 loss to Cape Henlopen might stick with them for a while. Sussex Tech was down 42-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Cape Henlopen found their leader in underclassman Amalia Fruchtman, who scored 22 points along with five blocks and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Fruchtman has scored at least a third of Cape Henlopen's points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Hudson, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
Sussex Tech has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Cape Henlopen, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Smyrna the next time they take the court. Sussex Tech will host Smyrna at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, while Cape Henlopen will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
