The Gowanda Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Randolph on the road and fell 75-28. Gowanda was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-13.
Quinn Pence was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-9 from deep and dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 steals for Randolph. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pence has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Herington, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Gowanda's defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Randolph, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gowanda will take on Portville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Randolph, they will be playing at home against Nichols at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Nichols focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Friday.
