Nazareth is 2-8 against Mary Louis Academy since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Nazareth Kingsmen will be staying on the road to face off against the Mary Louis Academy Hilltoppers on February 10th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Nazareth strolled past Holy Cross with points to spare, taking the game 68-50. Nazareth pushed the score to 50-30 by the end of the third, a deficit Holy Cross cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Mary Louis Academy earned a 63-55 win over Holy Cross on Tuesday. Given Mary Louis Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Holy Cross is ranked 79th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The win got Nazareth back to even at 8-8. As for Mary Louis Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Nazareth came up short against Mary Louis Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 61-56. Can Nazareth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
