The Lawrence Central Bears lost against the Carmel Greyhounds back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lawrence Central fell to Carmel 52-46. Lawrence Central has not had much luck with Carmel recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Carmel can attribute much of their success to Alex Couto, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Evan Harrell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Lawrence Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Carmel, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence Central will take on Lawrence North at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carmel won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Plainfield at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Plainfield is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
