The Barrington Eagles entered their tilt with the Rogers Vikings with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. Barrington walked away with a 51-40 win over Rogers on Tuesday. Given Barrington's advantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Rogers is ranked 47th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Isys Dunphy, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. She is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Gill, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Barrington's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Rogers, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Coincidentally, Barrington and Rogers will both be playing Classical the next time they take the court. Barrington will host Classical at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Rogers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
