The Sultana Sultans will face off against the Oak Hills Bulldogs at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sultana is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Sultana's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Burroughs with a sharp 11-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sultans.

Savannah Vanderpool made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery Rodriguez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jadielyn Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Sultana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Oak Hills fell victim to Apple Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Sun Devils, falling 6-0. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Oak Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DAYLIN HOENISCH, who went 2-for-4 with one double.
Oak Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Sultana, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
Oak Hills' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sultana has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .457. It's a different story for Oak Hills, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Sultana's hitters?
