The Kirtland Central Broncos pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Shiprock 65-59. Kirtland Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Shiprock apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Kirtland Central still got an impressive performance from Devin Ramone, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ramone has scored all season. Elijah Grey was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Kirtland Central's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11. As for Shiprock, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Kirtland Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-42 win vs. Miyamura on the 10th. Shiprock has also already played their next contest, a 65-61 victory against Aztec on the 9th.
