Columbus North had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-7 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Perry Meridian Falcons 15-7. The result was nothing new for the Bull Dogs, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Payton Morris was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Morris was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Columbus North let Morgan Jarvis and Miley McClellan run wild. Jarvis went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while McClellan went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
