This season hasn't been kind to the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They were dealt a 85-50 loss at the hands of The Webb School on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Middle Tennessee Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while The Webb School is ranked 30th).
The Webb School was led to victory by Eli Brown and Taveon Comage. Brown went 7 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assists, while Comage scored 19 points along with 7 steals. The match was Brown's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jedidiah Jarrett, who scored 10 points.
Middle Tennessee Christian has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 0-6 record. As for The Webb School, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Middle Tennessee Christian will be playing at home against Battle Ground Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Battle Ground Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for The Webb School, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
