Sunset is 0-8 against the Bears since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sunset Bison will head out on the road to face off against the South Oak Cliff Bears at 7:30 p.m. Sunset is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Sunset took a serious blow against the Wildcats, falling 91-29. While losing is never fun, Sunset can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1219th, while the Wildcats are ranked 471st).
Meanwhile, even though Wilson scored an imposing 64 points last Friday, South Oak Cliff still came out on top. South Oak Cliff snuck past the Wildcats with a 70-64 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South Oak Cliff.
Sunset has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for South Oak Cliff, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Sunset was dealt a bruising 96-23 loss at the hands of the Bears in their previous matchup back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sunset was down 53-14.
