When it comes to explaining why Quaker Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joey Coyle. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with five assists. Zach Washington was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Quaker Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-7. As for Montour, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.
Quaker Valley will face off against Ellwood City at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Montour, they will head out on the road to challenge Bethel Park at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Bethel Park's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
