The Watertown Cyclones's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Indian River, falling 74-34. Watertown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-19.
Indian River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Davis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Davis hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Lamora, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Indian River, their victory was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Watertown will head out on the road to square off against Lowville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Lowville is ranked 362nd, while Watertown is ranked 370th). As for Indian River, they will play host again and welcome Carthage, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
