Their rough 80-54 defeat to Bishop Seabury Academy might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Maranatha Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Seahawks are ranked 112th).
Jace Hoffman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bishop Seabury Academy, going 9 for 16 from beyond the arc en route to 36 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoffman has scored all season. Chase Honarvar was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Maranatha Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Bishop Seabury Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Bishop Ward the next time they take the court. Bishop Seabury Academy will host Bishop Ward at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Maranatha Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
