Riverside had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They really took it to the San Elizario Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-34 win. The Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Riverside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yazmin Rios led the charge by going 7 for 9 on her way to 17 points along with six steals and five assists. Rios is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Jocelyn Castro was another key player, going 6 of 13 en route to 15 points and four steals.

Riverside's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.4 points per game. As for San Elizario, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-13 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will host Ysleta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside is facing Ysleta at the right time seeing as Ysleta is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for San Elizario, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clint at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
