If the Central City Value Jaguars were feeling good off their 71-43 takedown of the Annenberg Panthers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Central City Value took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Animo Bunche on Wednesday. Central City Value was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Animo Bunche apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Central City Value's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Leonel Chavez, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks, and Angel Marcial who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Marcial has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Andy Lobos, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Central City Value dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Animo Bunche, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
Central City Value will look to defend their home court on Friday against Orthopaedic at 3:30 p.m. Orthopaedic is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Animo Bunche, they will head out on the road to challenge USC-MAE at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
